FEES 2018

The cost of application this year remained at £2,160 (£1800 + VAT).  There will be a further appointment fee of £3,000 (+ VAT) paid by successful applicants. Those applicants with low incomes (gross fees below £60,000) are entitled to pay concessionary fees, which are half the standard level.  The fees may be paid by debit card (preferred), electronic transfer, or by cheque.

If you believe that you demonstrate the necessary competencies to a standard of excellence and were considering applying for Silk this year, but have decided not to on the grounds that the level of the fees is prohibitive, the Selection Panel would very much like to hear from you to inform its preparations for future years. Please telephone, write to or email the Secretariat in confidence.
