Fees 2013-14

The application fee for the 2013-14 Competition is £2,340 (£1950 + VAT), the same as the previous 2 competitions. Payment may be made by BACS Transfer (preferred) or by cheque. 

The appointment fee, payable only by successful applicants, remains at £4,200 (£3,500 + VAT), in addition to the fee payable to the Exchequer for the Letters Patent. Further advice on payment is given to successful applicants at the relevant time.

If you believe that you demonstrate the necessary competencies to a standard of excellence and were considering applying for Silk this year, but have decided not to on the grounds that the level of the fees is prohibitive, the Selection Panel would very much like to hear from you to inform its preparations for future years.
