2015-16 Competition is now open for applications
The Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel is inviting applications from suitably qualified advocates for appointment as Queen’s Counsel.
Completed applications must be received by 5pm on 1 April 2015.
The cost of application this year remains at £2,160 (£1800 + VAT). There will be a further appointment fee of £3,000 (+ VAT) paid by successful applicants. The fees may be paid by debit card (preferred), electronic transfer, by cheque or by credit card. There is a supplementary fee for payment by credit card.

The form is a pdf and will require you to have ‘Adobe XI’ on your computer (a link to the free download is provided on the instructions page (first page) of the application form). Previous versions of the application form will not be accepted.

Applicants invited to interview will be informed in September and it is envisaged that interviews will take place in late September, October, and early November. The Selection Panel’s recommendations will be passed to the Lord Chancellor in late November. It is expected that the appointments arising from this competition will be announced in early 2016.
