Information for Assessors

The success of the QC Selection scheme depends on the support of the judiciary, the legal profession and others in providing high quality assessments. The assessments collection stage of the current competition is now under way and we hope to complete this part of the selection process in August 2010.

The Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel would like to thank in advance all the assessors who generously contribute their time to the Queen’s Counsel Competitions. Without their support and help the current system would not work.

If the Panel have decided to seek your views on any of this year’s applicants then we will be writing to you in the next few weeks, enclosing an assessment form and guidance on how to complete it. It would be very much appreciated if you would return the form to us as soon as you can. If, however, you need more time or are unable to provide an assessment, please let us know.
