The 2009-10 Competition
The names of the new Queen’s Counsel, who were successful in the 2009-10 competition, were publicly announced on Friday 26 February 2010.
129 Queen’s Counsel were appointed from 275 applicants. The full list of appointments, the Selection Panel’s Report on the 2009-10 competition (including monitoring information and statistics) and a document setting out how the Panel went about its task can be found below.

Interviews for the 2009-10 competition were held in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds and Manchester.
The 2008-09 Competition
The 2008-09 Competition attracted 247 applicants. Applications closed on 3rd April 2008, and 104 appointments were announced on 19th February 2009.

The 2007-08 Competition attracted 333 applicants. Applications closed on 29th January 2007 and 98 appointments were announced on 22nd January 2008.
